Its constructed out of rubber gloves stitched onto screens from printing and hard bound book covers laced together for a corset! Its trashy!

Portland Fashion Week

Hey guys, I just spoke with Elizabeth Mollo, the production manager of Portland Fashion Week. They are currently taking submissions so the question is, should we apply and show our work? I think the best contact over there would be Teito as Tod is a little forgetful (he doesn't know my name after two years). Who should be in charge of contacting them for us? We should start this before our meeting next week. Volunteers?

Fight Club Minutes 6/24/08

Here's what we discussed at our last meeting on June 24th:

Okay, from now on we're going to put a "D" by items that are "DECIDED" and a "P" by items that are proposed. Cool.

• D - It's okay to order fabric after Pool. You have 6 months to get your orders done!
• D - We figured out how we are going to pay our dj's and everybody from the Trunkshow
• D - We are definitely adding Rachel to our friend list, along with others whom we like
• D - We are going to get a gift for you know who and you know who to thank them for you know what and Emily is going to organize that with the CSA
• D - We established our various jobs within the Fashion Fight Club:

We talked about a bunch of other jangly bits of info. But mostly about how we want to run the fight club and what it means to meet new people. We're slowly creaking open the door to our think tank but want to make sure it's all neat and tidy inside before we let people in.

More Fabric For Sale

Good idea Lindsey- I have 120 yards of organic cotton / lycra- cream. It is 8 oz and 60" wide. Nice stuff. I paid $4.20 a yard from an independent vender but I will sell the whole thing for $120. That is $1/ yrd for organic fabric! And plenty of it to make a collection...

fabric for sale

i have about 20 yards of organic hemp/cotton twill for sale. it is "natural" color, meaning that if you don't have visions of beige leisure suits, you would have to dye the fabric. it is from pickering international, and is perfectly good fabric, i just can't use it for my designs.

the price? a smooth, even $100. that's a $2 discount per yard. holy smokes!
